My name is Darren McNamara and I am the founder/owner of Aussie Welding Engineering. My business was born from a love (and a need) for the "old school" blacksmith-style craftsmanship of metalworking.

Originally from Australia, I spent 5 years, from the time I was 14 years old, apprenticed to a blacksmith who still used the age-old technique of metal-forging and working with his hands (and less machinery) to create timeless, original pieces -- from art deco to handrails, staircases and spirals. Now, 25 years later, I still strive to replicate everything that my tradesman back in Australia taught me.

Along with my apprentice (Tony Butler) we have crafted pieces for homeowners, builders, architects and others from Boston and surrounding areas to Cape Cod and the Islands. Every piece is made with one thought in mind, “Would we be happy to have this in our own home?” We simply love what we do -- and that is evident in our work.

Whether it be a simple welding repair or a complex architectural design job, we are fully mobile, fully insured and guarantee all or our work.
